The CIA has been embedded in the news for decades. Can you trust what you hear?
Eric Hunley and Mark Groubert present America's Untold Stories where we explore cultural figures and history that is often under-appreciated or overlooked. This episode is the CIA in the News.
Following his sophomore and junior years at Yale— a well-known recruiting ground for the CIA— he spent his summers interning at the agency’s monolithic headquarters in Langley, Virginia, in a program for students interested in intelligence work. Today the openly gay silver-haired anchorman can be seen every night on CNN.
His name is Anderson Cooper.

The CIA has been in bed with Hollywood for decades. Eric Hunley and Mark Groubert present America's Untold Stories where we explore cultural figures and history that is often under-appreciated or overlooked.
Operation Mockingbird, the Cold War CIA program to infiltrate the American media is supposedly long gone. But is it really?
Between 2006 and 2011, the CIA’s Office of Public Affairs (OPA) was involved in at least 22 of the U.S. entertainment industry’s projects. Some of the productions included the films Argo and Zero Dark Thirty and television shows like Top Chef and Covert Affairs. We spend extra time on "The Recruit" which was written originally by Mark.

Tom O'Neill spent 20 years writing CHAOS - a book that rose out of the ashes of an article for Premiere Magazine about Charles Manson and the Manson Family. Throughout the years he discovered that the legendary book "Helter Skelter" by Vincent Bugliosi was not only incomplete but misleading. He discovered that the CIA may have been involved with Charles Manson as part of one of the multiple questionable projects they ran in the 60s like CHAOS and MKUltra along with COINTELPRO with the FBI. We go all over the place and especially focus on the possible CIA involvement with psychiatrist Louis Jolyon West aka "Jolly West."
