Dan Hill, Ph.D., is an internationally recognized expert on the role of emotions in politics, business, sports, and popular culture, and has spoken to audiences in over 25 countries. To capture and quantify emotions, Dan pioneered the use of facial coding (the analysis of facial expressions) in market research starting in 1998 and his company, Sensory Logic, Inc., has done work for over half of the world's top 100 consumer-oriented, B2C companies. Dan has received seven U.S. patents related to facial coding and is also a certified Facial Action Coding System (FACS) practitioner.
Dan's latest books consist of Famous Faces Decoded: A Guidebook for Reading Others; Two Cheers for Democracy: How Emotions Drive Leadership Style; and First Blush: People's Intuitive Reactions to Famous Art. His earlier, business books include: About Face: The Secrets of Emotionally Effective Advertising; and Emotionomics: Leveraging Emotions for Business Success, which was chosen by Advertising Age as one of the top ten must-read books of 2009 and features a foreword by Sam Simon, co-creator of The Simpsons.
In 2014, Dan received front-page coverage in The New York Times for his work with professional and NCAA Division 1 sports teams. Other media coverage has ranged from TV appearances on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” Bloomberg TV, CNBC, CNN, C-Span, ESPN, Fox, MSNBC, NBC’s “The Today Show,” PBS, and The Tennis Channel, to print and digital coverage in Allure, China Forbes, Cosmopolitan, Fast Company, The Financial Times, The Los Angeles Times, Politico, Time, USA Today, and The Wall Street Journal. Dan was educated at St. Olaf College, Oxford University, Brown University, and Rutgers University. Along with his wife, Karen Bernthal, he nowadays splits his time between St. Paul, Minnesota and Palm Desert, California.

Don Bentley spent a decade as an Army Apache helicopter pilot, and while deployed in Afghanistan was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and the Air Medal with “V” device for valor. Following his time in the military, Don worked as an FBI special agent focusing on foreign intelligence and counterintelligence and was a Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team member. Don has just released his debut novel "Without Sanction" which is flying off the shelves! In this interview we talk about being an "overnight sensation" and his experience in Operation Red Wings, a mission in Afghanistan that went sideways leading to the worst day in SEAL history up to that point.

Jared Cohn is a writer, director, producer and actor in film and television. He has to date directed over 30 films that have also been produced and distributed by major studios and production companies. These include Netflix, Hulu, Showtime, Syfy, Lifetime, and many more. Jared has also won awards and has been featured in GQ, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline, respectively. Street Survivors: The True Story of the Lynyrd Skynyrd Plane Crash Cohn's film centers around drummer Artimus Pyle his perspective on the tragic 1977 plane crash of the Lynyrd Skynyrd band. The crash claimed the lives of singer Ronnie Van Zant, guitarist Steve Gaines and his backing vocalist sister Cassie Gaines, as well as their road manager Dean Kilpatrick, and the two pilots of the plane. In August of 2017, the other surviving member Gary Rossington and the estates of Ronnie Van Zant and Steve Gaines successfully sued to stop the film from being produced. They claimed that Pyle had violated a 1988 agreement that prevented individual members from exploiting the band’s name after the crash. However in 2018, this court ruling was overturned and now Jared Cohn's film will make its debut on the June 30th 2020.

Randy Santel is best known as a bodybuilder and competitive eater known for completing food challenges at restaurants. He owns the website foodchallenges.com and has over one million subscribers on YouTube. His personal website focuses on exercise and diet. He was an offensive and defensive lineman in high school and played football at Missouri State University for three years. He graduated with a degree in construction management.

Dr. Joni Johnston, Psy.D, is a clinical and forensic psychologist, who is also a private investigator who has done criminal and civil work since 1991. As a practicing clinician Joni worked in a maximum security prison, for the Board of Parole and for the Superior Court of San Diego. She also worked as a workplace investigator of misconduct allegations that include harassment, discrimination and violence. Johnston earned her B.A. from Auburn University and M.S. & Psy.D. degrees from Florida Tech.
Joni is also the author of three nonfiction books, including: Appearance Obsession: Learning to Love the Way You Look, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Psychology, as well as The Complete Idiot's Guide to Controlling Anxiety. She is also the author of the popular Psychology Today law and also the crime blog The Human Equation, which has also been viewed over 3 million times. Dr. Joni Johnston currently evaluates mentally disordered offenders up for parole, as well as criminal defendants with insanity and competency concerns to stand trial.

Danielle Anne Trussoni is a New York Times, USA Today, and Sunday Times Top 10 bestselling novelist. She has been a Pulitzer Prize in Fiction jurist, and writes the Dark Matters column for the New York Times Book Review. She created the Writerly podcast, a weekly podcast about the art and business of writing. Her novels have been translated into 33 languages.
Her work includes five books: Falling Through the Earth (2006), Angelology (2010), Angelopolis (2012), The Fortress (2016), and The Ancestor (2020). She is the recipient of the Michener-Copernicus Society of America award, the Dana award in the novel, and the New York Times Top 10 Book of the Year for her first book. In addition to being published in The New York Times Book Review, she has also been The Guardian, The New York Times Magazine and Tin House, her writings have been widely anthologized.
